Christmas Eve Candlelight Service From The Gospel of John
In near total darkness, with very low candlelight on this 12-24-13, Rev. Jim Hilton, our Pastor, called for traditional stories, told one himself, read another to all of us and preached the old, old story in a very new way at the quintessential country church. It was, indeed, a night to remember. The photos are fairly clear, the audio is good, but you will need night vision glasses for the video link (down below the photos):

Once on the Internet, click on any photo to enlarge it on your computer screen.Brother Carl Sterling had told us from the pulpit that this year's Christmas Eve Candlelight Service would be like none other that we had ever experienced, and he was right:
His sermon, "What Was At Bethlehem?", alone was enough to make the service unique. You may hear and see him deliver it in the video posted below. It's well worth your time.
Even the traditional Holy Communion service seemed rather special this year, especially with the recent return of the Stantons, Mollie & David, from their voyage and trip to the Holy Land.
The lights in the church building grow dim then are extinguished as the congregation files out singing Silent Night.
