CHAPEL NEWS ANALYSIS:
"Walls turned on their sides become bridges." --- Bishop Gregory Palmer, at Healthy Churches Transforming the World training session, January 27-30, 2005, Houston, Texas.
Trustee Chair Randy Stanley phoned Joe Dan Boyd, the E-Letter editor, yesterday after reading Sunday’s E-Letter and Weblog (Blog) report on Randy’s presentation to Sunday’s congregation about the ongoing quest by our Trustees for the location of office spaces for Senior Pastor Rev. Duncan Graham and church secretary Elaine Knoop.
Randy said he had received a couple of phone calls (but mentioned no names) from others who had read the E-Letter report.
Randy asked if he and I needed to talk, and I asked Randy if there was anything further that I needed to know.
During the course of our brief discussion, only one point of factual disagreement surfaced:
Randy contends that the Trustees voted only to postpone, and did not actually vote against, walled offices in the old fellowship hall.
So, in a spirit of Christian love and commitment to our church, the E-Letter editor respectfully suggests that anyone in the Tinney Chapel congregation who would like to pursue that point, or any others relating to the current quest for office space, engage in conversation and/or dialog with as many of our Trustees as your time and effort permits.
I’m sure any or all of Tinney Chapel’s Trustees would be happy to answer your questions, and would be glad to have your personal input into this very sensitive issue.
Your Trustees are:
2005 Mickey Tinney
2007 Dick Beavers
